Training, Training, and more Training….

Students in the EMT class have hit the half way point tonight, and will begin practical’s in the Emergency Room over the next few weeks. Tonight was pediatric emergencies and child birth.

Members not in the EMT class have been working on pump training and attending off site trainings through the Illinois Fire Service Institute. Offsite trainings allow members to get live fire training in a controlled environment.

A little mutual aid

Volunteering is a way to give back to our local community, and for the fire service many times we rely on aid from other jurisdictions to get the job done. Tonight we lent a hand to The Grace United Methodist Youth Group (Radical) to help prepare items for their annual baked potato fundraiser at the Marigold Festival. So after you come visit us at the kids experience swing over and visit their food tent for a delicious baked potato.
