The Schaeferville Fire Protection District located in Pekin, IL was founded in 1962, contracting with the City of Pekin for fire protection services initially. In 1967 the department began responding to calls out of a two garage station located at 1501 Hillview Drive. Initially providing fire suppression response only, the department began providing medical response in the 90’s. The agency is currently licensed as a first responder agency, providing medical care to Schaeferville and surrounding volunteer districts.
